Christmas is Coming!
December has been sooo busy and so full of Christmas goodness. Here are just a few highlights since I shockingly have a few minutes before I need to load the car for our next Christmas shindig.
Some how I did not end up with the pics from Lily decorating our house. Guess I gave the camera card to my mom before uploading them? Anyhow, she decorated everything by herself. Lily informed me early on that she would be handling everything alone. Later she told me she wanted to have a tree trimming party. I asked how she was going to do everything alone if she had a party, she told me her friends would come over and watch her do it all!
After the house was trimmed we decorated the church and enjoyed some Bingo fun at the altar guild party. It was a very entertaining night with an awesome bingo caller :)
Lily's granny put together a Thrivent Action Team to buy gifts and food for a less fortunate family.
We had lots of fun gathering gifts.
Taking a donut break
Buying groceries
And making cards and wrapping gifts for the family.
We visited a Christmas tree farm with our cousins.
It was a beautiful day.
All the kiddos got to help chop down the tree.
We got a late start but had just enough daylight to capture a few family photos.
We missed Santa but had fun racing a few ducks.
Before heading back, we stopped at an awesome Christmas light parade and got to see Santa and the real life Grinch...which I am still mad I did not stop and get a pic with.
Truck goals for next Christmas!
We attended the Elf on the Shelf Restore party again this year and were able to visit with Santa this time. Lily asked for an ice cream truck for her baby dolls. She kept going back giving Santa little gifts. I believe she thought bribing might work for those few times she was bad this year.
Mr. Welder is wanting a seat for his boat so he thought he'd give Santa a try too.
Afterwards we enjoyed the movie Elf at the Hippodrome. It was an awesome night with big belly laughs and fun, family memories.
We joined friends for another fun Christmas parade.
Boy did we load up with candy at this one!
We started a new family tradition-The Giving Manger
And continued some old ones-Our advent calendar
And snow globe advent calendar.
Christmas Cantata
Matching PJs
And an early Christmas present.
Meet Pancho. He is a Hurricane Harvey survivor.
He has the cutest under bite and has been adjusting well to his new home.
Very loved and spoiled!
Our annual date and Christmas lights night.
A special treat from Aunt Weenie.
And they're out.
A cuddly nap before a friend's princess birthday party.
And then The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
After taking a few notes at the play, Lily did a little performing of her own in the school play. She was Mary and did an awesome job.
We were all so proud of our little Mary.
And we look forward to her next performance.
A short video of the performance.
I plan to come back to share more Christmas goodness. But in case I get behind as usual, Merry Christmas!
