Four Posts Become a House

The four poles have progressed  rather quickly into a greenhouse.  This post covers a series of about a week, but I'm still surprised at how fast this project has been.  Four more upright poles were added and the trusses were completed and installed.
Lathe boards were added to the roof and side walls.
 Sand was hauled and leveled.
 The door was framed.
This picture gives a better idea of where the greenhouse is located.  To the left is a column of the shop.
 The door was installed.
In the middle of all this, dad came over and helped finish installing the gutter.
Downspouts and a tank are the next steps to this project.
Daisy likes her new dog house, but said she still prefers her pillow in The Weld House....
Here, Mr. Welder is adding more bracing.
Then the frame for an awning was nailed into position.
Clear, PVC "tin" was installed along with a flashing piece.
To finish up that wall, a rusty tin wainscot was put in place.
On my days off, I was the holder upper.
 And the blow dryer operator.
Having a wife with tools comes in handy sometimes.
Since it was chilly out, heating the PVC panels really helped with getting a nice cut.  At first I thought Mr. Welder's hands were cold, but especially when cutting something other than a straight line, it avoided the panel from cracking along the cut.
Clear sheets wrapped around three sides.
Before continuing to the front, tin was installed on the awning.
Then it was back to installing clear sheets and flashing, until it got dark and chilly.
Then it was time to go back to work, and I came home to this.  Roof and all!  Isn't it cute?!  What do you think of the door color?  This is how it came.  I'm not sure yet.  Is it weird that I kind of like it?  What color do you suggest?
We have plans for a brick path down the center with shelving lining the walls.  I am not sure of the exact plan yet but we're in the discussion stage.  For now Herman will just think it's his huge litter box.
Speaking of Herman...notice anything strange about this picture?  The comfort of a cozy fire...and cardboard box.

  2. Fantastic Post...When it comes to home repairs there are many welding processes to choose from and even more electrode types. From a practical and cost efficient stand point view there is one electrode and welding process that is cheap and does a excellent job!
