Surprisingly...It Really Wasn't that Cold...

Saturday was a wintry day, but with three pairs or pants, two pairs of socks, leg warmers, furry boots, gloves, a scarf, three shirts, a woolly jacket with hood, and a head band...it really wasn't that cold! To start the productive day, we worked on cutting the hole in the cabinet for the laundry room sink.
Then I assisted Jason in breaking into our truck when we locked the keys inside. Someone (doubtfully me!) must have hit the lock button when exiting. Thankfully the door was not completely closed, so we could fit the wire through the crack and hit the unlock button.
Daisy snuggled on her piece of carpet while Jason examined the pieces for the wood burning stove pipe.
After dad made a pattern, he cut the hole in the laundry cabinet.
We did not lose the top drawer or even have to adjust it. The top fit just right! Afterwards, I gave the inside of the cabinet a coat of white paint to freshen it up.Here it is minus the faucet. We also have to get a new piece of plywood for the back. Jason, put that on the list so we don't forget...this is my test to see if he actually reads this-hehe.
Dad and Jason worked on the "box" for the wood stove pipe.

And here it is. The pipe will go through the center. We need to have this area marked and ready for the spray foam insulation since the pipe is not supposed to be surrounded by insulation...so this little box will not be spray foamed...
Before leaving, dad moved a light switch. Jason's mom is giving us her old hutch that she had for many years. Jason actually used to hide in one of the cabinets. (We love furniture with memories and a good story.) Which is why I was crossing my fingers that it would work in our house. As the cool cats said in the 8th grade-it is a big mammor jammer. After measuring several areas, the pantry wall was the perfect width. The only thing not so perfect was the light switch that would be inaccessible. So good ole dad moved it for us.
