Hired Help

Sunday, porch lights were installed! While I was cleaning a few of the fixtures that we bought at Restore, I looked over and saw Daisy with something in the yard...
It was a possum playing dead. Daisy told me she knew he was not dead because she could still see him breathing.
Though it was very hard to resist the temptation, Daddy made Daisy leave it alone so he could eventually make a run for it...too bad Daisy was a bad girl and could not resist. She let go when dad gave her a spanking though :)
And then she pouted (she never gets to have any fun!) while her dad and my dad worked on the back porch lights.
I broke all the boxes down to be recycled. Just trying to save Earth one box at a time :)We bought the three flush mount lights at Home Depot.
And these two lantern lights at Restore.
Same deal on the back. The four (you can only see two in this picture) flush mounts were from Home Depot and the two authentic (yep, from being old and in the weather) antique brass torches were purchased at Restore. They really cleaned up nice. My brain is still debating on the overall look of the back-love how the front turned out. Guess it is mainly due to the blank slate we still have in the back. The front is already quite decorated withe more windows with shutters, grand door, and milk can. Plants and some old things (most likely) should bring it all together eventually.
Another step was completed on the medicine cabinets for the master bathroom.
Then electrical boxes were reconfigured after thinking a few things over and others were added for the sconce lights.
We also moved the electrical box for the light in the kids' bathroom after thinking it over...trying to get things ready for sheet rock.
And boxes were added for lights in the art room and upstairs bathroom. The Farmer Chicks snuck in some sun and a little more door work.

We also decided to hire a little help to keep things moving right along. So far, so good. Doesn't mind getting dirty, has lots of ideas, and is even pretty cute :)
