Scare the Rain Away?

The night before we left on vacation, Jason coated the rock with a sealer. This serves two purposes. When it rains, dirt splashes on the rock. The sealer will help keep the rock from becoming stained. The second purpose of the sealer, it keeps the rocks and mortar from retaining moisture. We took a much needed vacation and break...and thanked mom and dad for all of their hard work and help at The Weld House...we also let the two bums on the right tag along :) In the picture above, we are at Enchanted Rock. And yes, my goofy sister made it to the top in her "prom dress" and flip flops! We had a great time. And when we came back, we were happy to return to relieved land! We got an inch at The Weld House! I was afraid sealing the rock (having things ready for the rain) would scare it away. Thank God for this much needed blessing. The crunchy, dry land can really make me feel depressed and the plants feel droopy.

The front of the garage got a dose of mud splatters. Jason sprayed it clean.
