A Lot More Action...

Tuesday night was a productive night at The Weld House. Here are some action shots of the den ceiling. To start, Jason attached a piece of angle iron. The tin is spliced in the den since the sheets would have been really long. Yes, the roof sheets were just as long or longer, but attaching the tin to the bottom of the purlin opposed to the top is a bit more of a challenge. And you cannot hardly even tell where it was spliced so doing it that way was definitely worth it.
Team Work

These two men can do anything!

Daisy found her a nice place to lay and guard the tin and the laundry room cabinet that is under the sheet.
Jason drilling holes so he can get his nippers (not sure if that is the technical term but that is what I hear the guys calling them) in to cut the holes for the recessed lights.
More work to get the sheet ready to hang.
And then sometimes a little extra trimming needs to take place.
Wow! I can't believe how fast the ceilings are going up! Inside, without wind, and lights at night really helps the progress compared to when we worked on the roof.
The Welding Wife cleaned upstairs. Boy is sweeping the insulation shavings fun-not! The little pieces stick to the broom and fly all over the place with even the smallest puff of air. But it does look much nicer so was worth the chase. Afterwards I did a little door work...and then dreamed about door work all night. It must have been from the excitement. (FOR REAL!) I really think the new plan/method/aircraft stripper is really going to help move things right along. (I kept thinking there had to be something to help with the tediousness of the panels-thanks for the recommendation Uncle Pete!) Mom and I will be finished with these doors in no time-well, a little too late for that statement, but we knew this was a learning process when we started!
