Thanks Mom & Dad!

Before I go any further about our trip to Rockport, I wanted to let you know the main reason we took this break.  We took it to celebrate and thank these two selfless people we are blessed to have in our lives.  We know that without their endless support, we'd still be nailing away at the Weld House.  Heck, we probably would have given up at this point.  We'll maybe not, since we're hard-headed, but we sure would not be as happy and where we are today...and would have made a lot more mistakes and eaten a lot more sandwiches and frozen dinners.
They are just your ordinary people but extraordinary parents.
We could never repay them for all the hard work, sweat, and motivation they gave us.  From the early days of cleaning up the land to sweeping our floors or working on the shop when they come over now, they help us and help us some more and never want anything in return...and have a hard time accepting gifts.  Yes, that is their flaw!
My mom is the lady who would buy us a cart of groceries to hold us over so we could work another night at the house (even though we practically ate at her house every night) and wouldn't let us pay a penny.  But when I'd pick up a can of green beans she was short for Sunday dinner (which I would also be eating), she'd try to pay me back $5...for one can of green beans!
My dad spent a good portion of those house building years, hanging out late nights with us silly kids trying to make every day count.  He is more patient than anyone I've met.  Spending most of his life surrounded by three gals might have something to do with that...  We'd keep him out way past his bedtime and made frequent shopping trips to his shed where prices couldn't be beat :)
My dad in tennis shoes...had to take a break from the seriousness and joke about that for a minute.  He always wears work boots.  It's nice to see him let loose every once in a while :)
But seriously, we hope you know how much we appreciate you both.
We had a great time taking a break with you.
You deserve much more but hope you enjoyed it too.
We love you!
