Decisions, Decisions

Monday much discussion took place. Originally we planned to use this wider barn wood on the accent wall in the master bedroom. We talked about planing it down, installing, and then deciding whether to leave it bare wood or paint. After closer inspection, we decided this wood was not for that wall. Unfortunately, many of the boards were not in great shape. Then after more discussion, we did decide which wood we would use for the bedroom wall and were about to start installing, when we decided the sheet rock on the other three walls of the room should be installed beforehand. So, then we talked some more and decided we would use the wide barn wood for the ceiling in the master bathroom...
First piece up!
We were able to omit the plywood since this wood is so wide, but had to add a few stud boards in three places.
Looking safe!
Using the jig saw to cut a notch where the air vent will be.
And this is how it looked at 11:00 when we left for the night. Boy am I glad we found something to accomplish :) Now we are on a hunt to find a few more boards to finish. We have a few options/places to snoop so I feel confident this ceiling will turn out perfect.
