Hall of Fame

Saturday, Mr. Welder had to work at his real job until lunch, but we still had a productive day. Mrs. Welder vacuumed downstairs to get ready for flooring.
Dad chopped more pieces for the other skinny dance floor.
And Mr. Welder nailed them (and the side of his finger!) into place. I wasn't aware of the accident until later that evening. Mr. Welder said it was a little painful but was just happy it was just the side of his finger opposed to through it. Yuck and Ouch!
Two skinny dance floors complete.
Bye bye scissor lift. It was time to get this bad boy out of the way. One of the rocks along the threshold cracked off under the weight of this heavy machine, but we did not worry since our favorite rockers should be paying us a visit to install our backsplash soon. We are confident they will take care of us as usual.
Next, we laid out the rubber mat stuff down the clean hallway. This stuff kind of reminds me of that foam stuff we used to use in art class, but stinky.
The guys did some fiddling with the wood floor pieces to decide how it exactly snapped together.
The Welders decided to refer to the instructions.
And then we went for it.
The key was getting it started square to allow the pieces to snap into place.
And like most projects, once we got started, it gained momentum. Mrs. Welder was in charge of bringing flooring pieces.
Mom busted the boxes.
And fulfilled her photographer duty.
While Daisy guarded the wood.
We made it to the other side of the hall-this is looking from inside the master bedroom.
A skinny piece was needed to finish out. And skinny fingers were used to keep it in place length wise while it was hit into place from the end.
And we had a floored hallway by the end of the evening. Daisy put on her Halloween eyes to be festive.
