Meet in the Middle
We got a late start on Saturday since Jason worked until lunch. Mom and dad worked on the copper pipe that was ran over by the scissor lift. We were hoping it could be repaired but it ended up being too smashed. We break things right :)
Jason worked on the corners of the house where the different trims met.
Some worked out rather nicely.
Others were a little more of a challenge.
The guys also added trim around the bottom of the garage doors. This will give the rock a more finished look.

While the guys did trim work, I decided to repaint the shutters with our new stain/sealer. After Jason figured out which screws were the ones not holding the shutter together but were attaching them to the house, he took them down.
Notice the difference between the two. The one I am getting is showing the back side. They have already faded a lot!
I have just started in this picture, but you can tell they will be much darker. The first sealer we used was clear but this one is tinted.
While the shutters dried, I watered our tomatoes. They sure could use a rain!
Next, Jason experimented with an old door frame, hoping we could use it for the top of the front door...think we decided we will go with Plan B.
To finish the day, Jason used our new sander on the door while Daisy supervised.
