Parading Around

We did not visit many homes due to the late hour, but here are a few things that caught our eye during the Parade of Homes. This house was fixed up really cute. I loved these bright shelving...we have talked about having a game room area upstairs. This type of shelving would be perfect to keep board games and whatever else organized.
I had to snap this pic. Jason in his Hawaiian shirt looked like a model ready for his shot.
There is a word for the style of rocking above and below these windows. We may do something like this on our front, four windows. Some have the design all the way around-with shutters we would only do the top and bottom...or maybe just the bottom.
We plan to rock the back columns that run from the balcony porch to the back porch.
We want to have a decorative light between our garage doors. We will probably just do one in the middle.
This sidewalk had a clear coat on it to give it a wet look. We have the same washed concrete on both porches so this is an option if we ever run out of things to do and want to spice things up :)
These next photos...were hard to capture. The one above is the entrance to the shower.Turn left and here you are. I love the seat and also how there is no shower door to keep clean. I am not sure if this option will work with the plumbing and layout we have in mind, but maybe at least the seat will.
The floor kind of caves into the middle.
We plan to line the front porch posts with cedar. I thought these were nice except we will not have brick at the bottom.
Isn't this pool so pretty?!? I am almost certain we will never have anything like this, but maybe we will find a friend that does who we can visit :)
Jason liked the floor in this garage. I think it is a type of seal/paint. It had a bunch of speckles in it, but mainly he liked it since it is easier to keep clean.
This gated fence hid the a/c unit and pool machines. I love when ugly things are hidden with cute things!
The Weld House does not look like any of the homes we toured or drove past. This house had our green color (shutters), dark wood, and one of the colors of stone we have in mind. I think they look great together.
The Parade was over but we still went to see the outside of this house since it has the style garage door we like.
A house was being built next door so Jason checked out how the walls work. I wish we would have had a little more time to tour houses but was happy with what we did see.
