Sunday after church, mom and I took the guys lunch. Jason met another rocker that morning and then dad met him and they put the soffet under the back porch. They also installed the electrical boxes and wires for the four lights we bought.
After a lunch break, we decided to add two plugs on each end. I'm thinking party lights! And of course practical things :)
Dad and Jason figure out where they should be placed.
Jason screws the electrical box to the purlin.
Dad traces around the box so they know where to cut out the holes.
Jason drills a hole to make a place to start the cutting.
And now he cuts it.
After the tin was the right size, had all the right holes, and we had the flex wiring running to the electrical boxes from the house, they placed the tin on the scissor lift.
And up it goes
The holes fit the boxes perfectly...I obviously did not help with the measuring.
Securing it into place.
Taa Daa! Beautiful! Now time to rush off to visit the Parade of Homes for a bit.
