Stand the Heat

Friday the cabinets were delivered. Though they did not finish hanging doors, adding molding, etc. do you notice what I did not at first, but after Jason pointed it out, drove me crazy for the rest of the night? Here is Jason's bathroom vanity.
And mine. We are planning to do marble tops that match the marble around the bathtub and inside the shower and also have rustic hardware bought for these. Still deciding on a stain color though...
Saturday after Jason got off work, (third Saturday in a row!) we squeezed in a little progress before partying all night. See, we do more than just work sometimes! I did a few stain tests to start the process of deciding what color to choose.
Jason and dad worked on the plumbing and cabinet in the laundry room.
Installing the sink top.
More plumbing for the master bathroom vanities. Dad went around the entire house and got plumbing ready for the next step, which will happen after sinks are installed. Jason and I worked on building a platform for the water heater.
Mom and dad cut the plywood for the platform.
As we continued building it.
Perfect fit.
After connecting the drain to the pan, the water heater was set in place. And then it was time to go (after discussing our kitchen cabinet problem briefly-still on my mind!) since we were running late to the party. We arrived fashionably late.
