Dracula's Shower

Friday the marble arch was installed.
Saturday we opened the steel yard.
It sure was nice to clean up some of the leftover iron. Now we just need to get to work on our lumber yard :)
The rock guys started by cementing the office wall. They are scheduled to finish this wall on Monday.
Next they started on the wall in the breakfast nook.
It is so neat to watch them work and put together the rock puzzle. We've used these same guys for the outside of our house and the hearth. They always do an excellent job-from start to clean up. We really appreciate their hard work and help in beautifying the Weld House.
While they were rocking, we worked on going around the house and installing the doors that Jason and I got ready during the week. All the preparation sure helped things move right along.
The second kid's bedroom and closet door were soon in place.
Mom did a final sanding and then a washing of the kids' bathroom medicine cabinet.
The rock guys kept moving right along.
I painted the closet door in the first kid's bedroom.
We'll see if it stays all nice and new. It might want to join the crowd of other "antiqued" items.
Pete cleaned and smoothed out the mortar between the rocks.
Then it was time to rock the shower. They delivered the rocks through the drive-thru window that we've found handy too.
The mini castle was in the works in no time.
Mom and I put up a few switch covers that Jason and I bought on clearance a long time ago. Way before we had any idea of our electrical needs. Surprisingly, we were able to find a pretty place for each one.
The guys made their way to the laundry room door.
Definitely my favorite so far!And the last door for the day was this one that connects the laundry room to the master closet.
The finishing touches.
It definitely turned out even better than we could have imagined.
