Monday, the rock guys finished up the office and stair walls. As always, we were very happy with their work.
Here are a few pictures of the office wall. It was a challenge to get a good picture with the angle and window, but hopefully these give you some idea.
Here is the stair wall. We plan to put old wood siding on the far stair wall (the one behind the swung open door.)
To start our work for evening, we installed a few more switch covers.
We found this fancy one for the switch on the master shower.
Then we got to work on the window in the master bathroom.
Pretty! If you can imagine it not pink! The Welding Wife is trying to be patient and let the cedar do its thing before whipping out the stain. This really has been one of the hardest parts of the entire house building process :) If you look at the window in the office pictures above, this gives you an idea of the color we are waiting on. We did not plane the wood for that particular window, so the dry (brownish) layer is still intact and it should continue to darken gradually...according to other cedar boards we've known anyways.
