Shower Power
Wednesday the electric company decorated our yard. I think these flags mean it is safe to dig, but mostly to me it means one step closer to getting rid of our temporary pole. The Marble Men were still hard at work when we got there. They had a little trouble fitting the pieces through the opening so like is often the case with us, the project took a little longer than expected. It worked out great in the end, which is always the most important. It was nice meeting the friendly workers, and during conversation, we also found out that we could get a bendy piece of marble for the arch. I was wondering how that would work with the rock so was glad this ended up being an option.
This is how it looked when they left.

Jason added a few more boards for a way to connect the bendy marble to the arch. It is scheduled to be installed Friday, which is perfect timing for the rock guys who are scheduled for Saturday.
After we got the remaining boards for the two downstairs door frames ready, we started on framing one of the living room windows. Due to the lateness of the hour and the un-smoothness that goes along with sleepy brains, we decided to call it quits after nailing down the bottom sill. The top board needs a little extra attention to make it just right and those type of scenarios cannot be rushed. I know, kind of disappointing. I wanted to see a window trimmed too. Just one more thing to look forward to.
