Breaking the Rules

Sunday morning we woke up and already broke our rule of no coffee in bed. We had to, as we had nowhere else to sit. We were very careful though and our new coffee cups are extra big and we were able to avoid any spillage.
Breakfast was served. I will just summarize this experience by saying I have a little learning to do with our new appliances :) But we did both clean our plates.
Mr. Welder got to work on the pantry shelving.
I guess Herman was embarrassed to be seen on his sister's princess pillow.
Two sides built.
Originally we were going to shelve three walls, but we decided to stop here with two and maybe use a piece of furniture that we already have on the other wall. Now the shelves are ready for paint. Oh, and they will be white since I remembered an almost full can already on hand.I decided to snap a picture of the kitchen before we went to get more stuff since I figured it would probably be a disaster again soon.We loaded a few things mom and dad have been storing at their house. I know they are glad to be getting their house back a little at a time. After the Welder's truck and trailer were full, we loaded dad's truck too. Then we went to our house and got a few more things. We rode back to mom and dad's (through the field) holding on to a few things to cram in our truck. I was entertained with Mr. Welder's broken leg bouncing along over the dirt. He is a nerd.Back to the Weld HouseWe unloaded both vehicles and then had our weekly family dinner. We ate and ran (something I hope is coming to an end soon!) and got a few areas looking cozy and almost house like.
While others were still disastrous.
Mr. Welder finished and installed this medicine cabinet he started about a year ago.
He still has to build one for his sink. Until then, we will continue to hog this one. Do you look in the mirror to put on deodorant? Just wondering, if my husband is the only one who does this.
And to end the evening, we decided to take care of part of the disaster zone and have a mini bonfire.
