Moving In! (Disclaimer: Not Us, The Appliances!)

On Wednesday, we arrived (it looks like at midnight) with our appliances?! This time change really stole the after-work daylight!
We called our sister and brother-in-law to loan us their muscles.
Originally we talked about taking the appliances through the front door, but I guess in our excitement we forgot the plan. After a little maneuvering,
We decided that taking off some of the packing might help.
And when it didn't, we (or they) loaded it back up.
Around to the front of the house we went.
And this time it fit no problem...watch those freshly stained stairs :)
And the chandelier. Kind of fun-like an obstacle course.
Daisy did a lot of this around the island...we did bring mouse traps but forgot the bait...I set them anyways in hopes that one might accidentally run over it until we remember to take the peanut butter.
After tearing through the packaging and peeling off tons of tape like we were kids at Christmas, Johnnie entertained up with the air compressor before I finally told him to get, we had work to do :)
Mr. Welder sprayed one side of the shelving for the pantry.
I guess we were excited again and did not think before getting started. We had to move the operation out of the wind, but one side was finished by the end of the night. The damp weather kept us from being able to turn them and do the backside, but at least one side is complete.
Dad arrived after his meeting and got to work on the appliances.
Jason installed one vent-not sure why I tell you guys things like this, but I know mom will be happy this is not laying in the bathtub anymore.
Then it was time to install the microwave.
Even though the rock was not flat, it worked out almost too easy to be true. I love when that happens. Dad still has to install a plug inside the cabinet above, but the main part is finished. The oven was wired and pushed into place.
And taa daa! Two more holes filled in. I took a hundred pictures. I can't remember which lights we had one but am thinking I could/should have turned on more. It just looked so beautiful that I stared and snapped and sorry they are somewhat dark.
