Go Floor It!

Friday, the Welders took the day off from their real jobs. I did not take many pictures but I did take a few but I don't seem to have them, so I will bore you with my rambling for a moment. Mr. Welder spent his day outdoors cleaning up the yard and back porch while Mrs. Welder touched up the stairs, stained boards that were showing through between the wood on the pantry, sanded and restained the front door and also touched it up with spray paint. Late afternoon we headed to town to do some research on appliances and materials for pantry and closet shelving. Things are really moving right along!
Saturday, we got back to flooring. The guys built this contraption to keep everything running straight.
Daisy thought it made a pretty cool fort. As you can see, we continued where we left off that first day of flooring from the hall and made our way to the hearth.
We really moved right along with us three installing the floor and mom unpacking the wood, cleaning, and rolling out the black mat.
Mom also tapped the freshly stained door to be sprayed with a clear coat.
Mr. Welder sprayed it.
And the stairs.
The flooring moved right along.
Here is where we stopped at the end of the evening.
We made it just beyond the pantry.
