Let's Sit & Chat on the Front Porch

To start this project we sheeted the underside of the porch. Before the stage pictured below, we also bought light fixtures and installed electrical wire for our front porch lights! How exciting! Right now we still just have the holes with electrical boxes where the lights will go. Thought I would keep them clean in the box until they are actually hooked up to something.
Notice the cedar shutters that were added since the last pics. Dad and Jason built them out of cedar fence posts for way cheap...and I painted them with a clear water sealer. Do a search on the internet for this type item prebuilt and divide that price by 10 and that is still more than we paid. Don't they just add so much to house?!?!
Jason washing off the roof. This was a ritual at the end of every roofing day. When you drill the screws, little pieces of metal fly everywhere. If you do not wash them off and it is damp the next day, they can make rust spots. Dad is hard at work holding the water hose and having a beverage.
